Semester Reflection.

At the beginning of this course, I was kind of nervous to take it. I heard this course was going to be a lot of busy work and not a lot of teaching. The past students were very wrong, I learned a lot with how to engage people with posts and what to say. I really ended up enjoying this course, I've had actually had a business take my advice on how to move their business forward with online marketing and how to use different platforms to their advantage.

I expected to learn a lot about the background information of how to maneuver around Facebook, Twitter, and maybe even Instagram from a business point of view. I almost expected a lot of reading, and power points. I expected to learn how to maybe use other social media's that I've never heard of.

What I actually learned is how too use Facebook, Blogger and Twitter to my advantage. Using Blogger, Twitter, and Facebook  to promote the other social media pages. I learned what key words to use to keep people engaged in my posts and how to deal with angry comments. I felt that the most important thing to learn was about how to deal with angry customers and the proper way to handle all sorts of comments.

My favorite part of the class was learning how to use all the social media accounts to my advantage if I were a business owner. I was already able to use this information in the real world for a company I kind of work for. They were able to increase their following on Facebook and they were able to increase their enrollment. Their classes for the spring session at their gym is already nearly full! This is something I hope to be able to do in the future and I already used it while still in college.

  1. Thank you so very much for your honest feedback Katie. You did an amazing job throughout the semester and incorporated all of the feedback, so it doesn't surprise me you're making a difference with your new skills. Thanks so much for being a part of the class Katie.
